Meeting called to order at 5:35 pm by Dale Statson. Combined meeting.
President’s Report: Kirk will continue to be temporary secretary. More discussion by board about Atlas police using rifle range. Lisa Snelling hosted Calamity Jane Shoot, went well, 24 shooters present. Ladies skeet league starts August 8, 2007. August 4th NWTF at Williams Gun Sight for approx 225 to 275 kids, could use GBHC volunteers from 10 am to 4 pm. The Davison Busters SCTP parents to attend Lunch with kids July 28th. Debate Club for Sat. August 11 we’ll need 14 trappers. Jamie Senor’s Springer Spaniel Club to shoot at non-member rates, Aug 12, noon till close.
Secretary’s Report: Last month’s report reviewed and accepted as written
Treasurer’s Report: W. Esser reported the need to check inventory list for club property, traps, equipment and motorized equipment for the insurance company. Treasurer’s report accepted as written.
Membership Report: T. Santoro reported that club membership is now at 408. There are four new members, paperwork is in order. Motion to accept new members by D. Fortier, 2nd by J. Webster, motion carried. Membership renewals letter to go out next week. There will be a limited number of New Life Memberships available and people need to call or e-mail T. Santoro to get on list. All applications must be turned in by August 15, 2007. There was discussion on how to compose the letter that is being sent to members. Tom will send out to the board a copy of letter for our critique. Motion by Walt Esser, 2nd by J. Webster to give a free shoot card to the expired 72 members, motion failed. Membership report accepted.
Manager’s Report: Chris Roelandt is now keeping all skeet field doors locked to prevent shooters from tampering with machines.
Sporting Clays: R. Wilcutts reported that July 7th sporting clays shoot had a profit of $2345.00. Next shoot Sept. 9th. Club Championship tournament Aug 4th and 5th, shoot 25 targets for 5-stand, skeet, wobble, trap and skeet doubles, and 50 sporting targets. GBHC to discount 5-stand fees to $4.00 for members only until Labor Day.
Skeet Report: A. Fletcher gave dates for next years Flint Olympian it will be July 9th and 13th, 2008. CANUSA will be Aug. 8, 9 and 10, 2008 hosted by GBHC.
Old Business: Pavilion going up well, finish date in next 2 weeks. John Cherry shoot went well, with 280 shooters. L. Curtis reported lead recovery is not an option due to swale and low land.
New Business: Steak & Clays July 26, 2007.
