Meeting called to order at 5:30 pm by D. Statson motion by D. Fortier and 2nd by L. Curtis to combine meeting.
President: Dale Statson reported: Order of business suspended to allow Darrell King to talk about SCTP. He is moving the SCTP Goodrich team of approximately 35 shooters over to GBHC next spring. Motion by W. Esser and 2nd by L Curtis that beginning after mid March when winter skeet league is over, that the club will be open Thursday nights to allow SCTP shooters access to club. Motion carried.
Motion by T. Santoro and 2nd by W. Esser, to allow ladies only skeet league headed by Lisa Snelling to shoot on Thursdays 5:00 PM-9:00 PM. Sporting clays will also be open until dark on Thursdays through mid October. Motion carried. Discussion about Atlas Police using rifle range: determined their use would not be conducive to our club use, and referred them to Linden Sportsman’s Club. The first Tri-Country School Debate League held shoot Aug.11th with 58 shooters was quite successful. Dinner was served, netted approx $1750.00. Jamie Swenor’s Sporting Clays annual fundraiser shoot for Disabled American Veterans had 20 shooters on Aug. 12th. Pavilion is complete, donations still be accepted for final upgrades, benches and picnic tables. $1150.00 has been collected to date. We have received two more annual GBHC sponsors @ $125.00 each. Discussed recruiting talent and candidates for our 2008 Board.

Treasurer: Walt Esser reported: Treasurers report accepted as written.
Membership: Tom Santoro reported: We have 412 total members. Motion by K. Todd 2nd by J. Webster to accept 6 new members, all paper work in order, motion carried. 4 members now qualify and have asked for retired life members status, motion by R. Wilcutts 2nd by L. Curtis, motion carried. During membership report D. Statson reported the need for additional member volunteers to do multiple things around club. List to be posted of future activities. Membership report accepted as written.
Manager: Chris Roelandt reported:. All sporting clays machines are now numbered and all appears to be going well.
Sporting Clays: Ron Wilcutts reported: Next sporting clays shoot is Sunday, Sept 9, 2007. Due to hunter safety in the morning and course setup in afternoon, club will be closed to sporting clays shooters Sat. Sept 8, 2008. Manlift update: J. Webster and K. Todd to look at manlift and determine fate. R. Wilcutts to update the new machine inventory list with current values of all machines for insurance purposes. R. Wilcutts discussed possible use of rifle range road during 2008 state shoot.
Old Business: Club championship: Keith Cole overall winner, congratulations Keith. Skeet winner James Campbell, skeet doubles winner Dave Coates, 5-stand winner Jeff Hynes, trap winner Dale Statson, wobble trap winner Dave Coates, sporting clays winner Mike Carver.
Re: CANUSA Shoot…US was beat by the Canadians by 14 targets. Arnold Fletcher stated the Canadians have always enjoyed our club and are excited about coming to GBHC next year.
New Business: Steak and Clays had 60 people to shoot and eat, gross for evening of $800.00! Next Steak and Clays Aug. 30, 2007. Will have a final Steak and Clays sometime in September.
We will be hosting another GBHC approved RSO class Sept 18, 2007. Next year June 20, 2008 the John Cherry Shoot will be held, and the following Friday June 27, 28 and 29th will be the MI State Sporting Clays Registered Shoot. Bill Jones offered to host another Sat/Sun Sight in Days late later in Sept. Need to have kitchen refrigerator serviced, and K. Todd is looking into the repairs.
