Meeting called to order at 5:30 pm by Dale Statson. Motion to combine meeting by A. Sikes, 2nd D. Fortier, carried.
President: Dale Statson reviewed Robert's Rules of discussion. Attendees introduced themselves.
RSO class planned for May. Class material draft passed out for review.
MUCC is interested in having a shoot here, possibly in August.
SCTP: Connie Trombley reported that the Davison HS group shot a skeet meet at Island Lake. They would like a sporting clays training class here. There are 9-12 students. We have Community Ed training here for 3 Tuesdays starting 4/24 at 6:30 pm
D. Fortier moved to charge SCTP $3 for skeet and $11 for S. Clays, 2nd L. Curtis, carried. A. Fletcher meets w/ Grand Blanc school board next week. Church of Nazerene shoot is 6/16/07. Glenne Baptist & Cornerstone Baptist shoot is 5/19/07.
Lisa Snelling plans 'Calamity Jane' ladies S.Clays shoot 6/24/07. W. Esser moved to charge $28, 2nd T. Santoro, carried.
Next Ladie's Skeet League to start 8/6/07. Chamber of Commerce plans another shoot in the fall.
Member of the Year: To have plaque for next meeting. W. Esser nominated Don Peterman, 2nd A. Sikes, carried by all present.
Cherry Hunter's Safety on 5/5/07: K. Todd moved to give graduates a 1/2 price shooting certificate, 2nd L. Curtis, carried.
Irish Rd cleanup is 4/22 at 1:00 pm. W. Esser will get a weather radio. D. Fortier to check bullhorn. Need an emergency plan.
Minutes of previous meetings; March 2007 meeting minutes were approved.
Treasurer: K. Todd presented detailed report. W. Esser will plot shooting data vs last year.
Membership: T. Santoro reported 6 new applicants: Craig Taylor (D. Statson); Doug Roberts (D. Statson); Rex Sweers (G. Swanson); Dan Kavalunas (D. Haines); Glen Davis (G. Kish); Mike Trombley (D. Statson). K. Todd moved to accept new members, 2nd D. Fortier, carried. Our total membership is 402. D. Fortier moved to allot $200 for ads in local papers, 2nd W. Esser, carried.
Sporting Clays: R. Wilcutts reported that the April shoot had 57 shooters and netted $1985. Next shoot is 5/12/07. Thanks to volunteers. Next target/shell delivery is 4/26. To discuss single 50 shooter 'show me' birds next meeting. The Promatic class was moved to Island Lake due to fire at DGC. NSCA: clubs need their own reporting system. To look at software.
Old Business:
CONSTITUTION: to have special meeting to review in May. M. Trombley getting price on skeet house doors.
J. Webster moved to buy Kubota 4x4 2nd D. Fortier, failed 4/6. J. Webster moved to buy Gator 4x2 , 2nd L. Curtis passed 6/4.
Priorities: Barn roof -to wait. Skeet field wiring-need price. Paint skeet houses/fences-need volunteers. Lead recovery-2009. Clays path repair-this year. Passenger trailer- M. Trombley checking. Pavilion - need price.
New Business:
Fishing in pond: J. Webster moved to allot $150 to reduce weeds in pond and plant some new fish, 2nd L. Curtis, carried.
Use of kitchen: to be staff only - ask cashier for help if needed.
